Megaman Unreal Engine 4


Heres a megaman fangame I was working on for fun! I figured Id share it with you guys to see if theres any interest. I dont think Ill finish it but if this video gets enough views then I will try and make it available to anyone who wants to edit it, Ill also make a 3D playable version of Quick mans level from Megaman 2 boss and all! if you like subscribe for updates.

  2. Mega Man 11 was incredible, and I'm glad the series still kicks ass in 2D (or 2.5D) but I'm hoping some day they can switch to 3D and make it work, perhaps drawing influence from the Legends series.

  3. This is what I have always wanted to see from Mega Man. Take the classic characters and formula and bring it into a 3D space and make it a natural progression for the series. Mega Man Legends is good and all, but it didn't feel much like a Mega Man game in execution. More like Zelda than Mega Man. This is absolutely incredible and stands out from the 8-bit style we see among normal mega Man fan games which kind of over-saturate the genre. I don't think Capcom ever needs to make another 8-bit Mega Man game, since the fan game community has that covered with an inexhaustible supply of classic Mega Man-style 2D platformers. It is great to finally see something different, yet familiar, from this community.

  4. This is proof that the classic Megaman classic series can transition from 2d to 3d, its good to see some real openminded Megaman fans that are willing an dedicated enough time and effort into making this 3d Style game. I really want to see this possible for future titles.

  5. Yes! A 3D Megaman fan game! It's a bout time i see one of those because I see a lot of 3D Sonic fan games. Why not Megaman??

  6. I've been working on my own version, but for the life of me can't get a basic projectile to spawn.
    If possible, I'd like a copy of the engine to try to adapt to my variation, so definitely develop the engine into something release-worthy.

  7. this works, no idea why capcom never tried, if you mix this with some concepts idea of Retchat Clank, I can see this fitting like a glove.
    with more focus on plataforming obviously .

  8. While I'm not the most knowledgeable programmer, I would definitely be in favour of an open source. I love building levels for old favourites and would definitely like to try my hand at a Mega Man level!

  9. I do feel that you captured the essence of the classic levels and fitted in a 3D environment.
    Even though you do not plan to continue on making the game, it looks really amazing.
