An extensive step-by-step guide showing you how to install and play Command & Conquer Generals: Zero Hour on Windows 10 x64.

I understand not all of you need to take these exact same steps (e.g. those who use Origin), but hopefully some parts of this guide will still be useful.

  2. Adding -win to my target under properties is not opening it in a smaller window. I have the origin edition. Any thoughts?

  9. EDIT: After running the installer like 3 times in a row it randomly decided to work
    I can't install Zero Hour.
    Error 1327.Invalid Drive: F:
    Error -1603 Fatal error during installation.
    Consult Windows Installer Help (Msi.chm) or MSDN for more information.
    I think the error comes from me trying to install it on my D: drive.

  13. Please give me the answer! I installed the games, but when i launch – got an error "please login as administrator and try again", ok i push "launch as administrator", and there is no error, but also there is nothing. AT ALL. I tried delete shortcuts ( as your site says ) but still can't launch any game.

  15. When I finish install ZH , than its missing the exe so when I try to run the game it says it cant find generals.exe :(((

  22. Guys i have reinstalled the Game, it works perfectly but when i try to connect in Gentool, Here comes the thing. When i open the Game without "open as Administrator " It tells me that i need to Update, and when i open it with Administrator, it tells me that can´t connect to cnc Zero hour server. I followed every step in the Video, i do have Patch 1.04 and gentool installed.
    What should i do? :´( There are some Guide in Internet i have found but all their links are outdated.

  23. Would it work with multiplayer online? Me and my friends are eager for years to play together again but each of us is in a different country. If there is a way for this to be played online with friends without crashing, please enlighten us anybody!

  24. hey man,I installed the gentool and when i'm playing online on gr….after 30sec from the game begginig suddenly I surrended but I didn't do that the gt did, can u help me to fix it pls 😀
